- Conduct market analysis & utilize data for informed, optimal grain trading decisions
- Collaborate with suppliers for competitive grain sourcing & monitor the competitiveness of cash grain bids
- Update grain bids on various platforms & provide reports
- Develop risk management strategies for financial stability
- Manage inventory, procure grain supplies, & coordinate supply chain operations
- Build & maintain customer relationships & manage customer database
- Stay updated on industry regulations & compliance
- Initiate contracts, hedge purchases, & maintain records; ensure compliance
- Maximize customer profitability & optimize resource use
- Bachelor's degree in agricultural economics, business, finance, marketing, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data & trends
- 3-5 years of trading experience preferred
- Proficient in using trading platforms, market analysis tools, & software
- Knowledgeable in fundamental & technical market drivers, options strategies, & persuasive business communication
- Sales & customer relations background, ability to build strong customer relationships, & manage a sales territory
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication, & negotiation skills
- Proven success in managing long-term customer relationships
