    The Quality Management Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating San Ysidro Health's Quality Management Program. The Quality Management Supervisor provides organizational support, program assessment and compliance and performance improvement processes consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. The Quality Manager will provide general management in health center's operation and special projects as assigned.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Assists with the direction and management the organization's process for Quality Improvement activities.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Quality Management Department's program including but not limited to:
  • Federal, State and County audits
  • Internal and external chart reviews
  • Provide support in the areas of PCMH, quality assurance, health plans compliance audits, as well as other essential administrative services such as weekly and monthly productivity reporting.
  • Provide support for the formulation or modification of health center's policies relating to administrative and clinical practices/procedures.
  • Oversee data collection activities as required by the Quality Management program by participating and facilitating audits, surveys and studies in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Provide support for preparing grant requests, contract compliance reports or other related activities associated with new programs/fund development projects.
  • Responsible for providing reports and data summaries relevant to quality activities as requested by CEO, VP of Population Health, Chief Medical Officer, and COO.
  • Performs and/or assists with the data analysis and interpretation; may utilize specialized analytical equipment and/or instrumentation, or specified statistical data analysis programs and software.
  • Assists VP of Population Health, Chief Medical Officer, Associate Chief Medical Officer, and director/managers in developing and tracking plans of correction for improvement processes.
  • Oversee and perform routine data verification and quality controls, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Oversee and develop assessment tools to track, analyze and present patient outcome measures, process improvement activities, program performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise Quality Management Coordinator staff on specific aspects of outreach activities.
  • Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and updates established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and infection control standards.
  • Keeps abreast of all regulations and standards to ensure compliance with orders or directives issued by duly constituted government/regulatory agencies.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
  • Attends meetings as required and participates in committees as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements

    Experience Required:

  • 3 years in healthcare Quality Improvement, preferably in Ambulatory Care
  • 1-2 years of experience in a lead position
  • Education Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Certifications Required:

  • CA drivers license with appropriate insurance coverage
  • Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:

  • Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office software.
  • Superb organizational ability and exceptionally analytical.
  • Equipment Used:

  • General office equipment to include PC and Software (Excel, Word, Office), phone, fax, etc.
  • Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Long Irregular hours. May work weekends.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, and constant walking and standing.
  • Driving and occasional travel required.
  • Universal Requirements:

    Pre-employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre-employment PPDs. Compliance with all mandated vaccinations and all boosters is a term and condition of employment.
