    Local metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY looking for an experienced equipment mechanic to join their team

    1st shift hours - 7:15am-3:45pm

    Pay varies based on experience - $24-30/hr

    REQUIREMENTS:

    -Must have 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, such as forklifts, front end loaders, excavators, etc.

    -Previous mechanical maintenance experience required

    -Must be familiar with hydraulics and basic electromechanical repairs

    -Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems for repair

    -Welding experience is a plus

    JOB DUTIES:

    -Follow a preventative maintenance schedule on all heavy equipment

    -Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems

    -Perform routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure correct operation

    -Use various hand and power tools

    -Operate equipment as needed

    -Maintain a clean and safe work environment
