Summary of Essential Job Duties:
The Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant operates independently under the guidance of senior technical/clinical staff. Responsibilities include receiving, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens, communicating test information, providing training to new staff, and serving as a problem-solving resource. The MLA, Sr. also functions as a Lead MLA in the absence of a supervisor, ensuring all tasks are carried out with care and consideration for the patient population.
