From homelessness prevention in Staten Island to supportive housing in the Bronx; from employment training in Manhattan to after school programs and college access in Brooklyn; from family shelter and support in Queens to increasing affordable housing across the city, CAMBA provides holistic services to help struggling New Yorkers stabilize their lives and become self-sufficient.
King Gardens is a building which was developed and is operated by Dunn Development Corp., a private developer. King Gardens is a newly constructed residential building located on 211 Riverdale Avenue and the corner of Rockaway Avenue in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. The project consists of a six-story elevator building containing 66 residential units, with 65 units of rental housing and one superintendent's unit. CAMBA, Inc. is the on-site services provider at King Gardens. Twenty apartments, approximately 30% of the units in the building, will be master leased by CAMBA and will house Population A chronically homeless single seniors, ages 62 and over, who are diagnosed as SPMI (seriously and persistently mentally ill) or MICA (mentally III and chemically addicted). The remaining 45 units are occupied by community seniors, who may require some services.

What The Security Guard Does:
The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to: (1) Maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to ensure the order and security of people and property; (2) Detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules; (3) Maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved; (4) Protect employees, visitors, and clients; (5) Observe and report irregularities such as unusual behavior, property damage, fire hazards, etc.; and (6) Provide directions to visitors when requested.

Compensation: $18/hourly
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
