Job summary
The server's primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time they will want to return again and again. Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds make all of our guests feel comfortable let them know you're there to personally take care of them.Welcome introduce yourself inform guests of specials and menu changes make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy answer questions about our food beverages and other restaurant functions services take food beverage orders from guests enter orders into the micros system double-check ensure accuracy relay orders to the kitchen bar deliver food beverages from the kitchen bar to guests in a timely manner perform side work at the start end each shift required service station assignment anticipate the guests' needs i.e., napkins drink refills appetizer plates build Regulars maintain clean service areas pre bus tables monitor observe guests dining experience ensure satisfied food service respond promptly courteously any requests prepare final bill present check guest accept payment process credit card charges or make change if applicable when dropping check don't travel too far check back asap be ready willing assist fellow servers situations arise be ready willing assist bus person/hostess clearing resetting tables thank guess visit invite return be available fill needed smooth efficient operation restaurant directed manager immediate supervisor.
