    Job Description

    Position & Client Overview:

    Join one of the leading laboratory organizations globally in their facility located in the picturesque Indianapolis region. Various shifts are up for grabs, including weekends.

    Salary: $2,100 weekly gross

    Job Summary:

    Contribute to the diagnosis of diseases and assist physicians in determining the best treatment for patients. Specialized areas include clinical chemistry, hematology, transfusion services, clinical immunology, clinical microbiology, serology, and the innovative field of molecular diagnostics.

    Skill Requirements:

    • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
    • Precision and excellent eye-hand coordination for specimen collection and preparation
    • Prioritize lab safety and infection control

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Conduct tests in various lab areas such as clinical chemistry, hematology, transfusion services, clinical immunology, clinical microbiology, serology, and molecular diagnostics
    • Match computer orders with specimen labels, verify specimen accuracy, log specimens, maintain quality results, troubleshoot equipment, monitor quality control, and more
    • Participate in staff training, report abnormal patient conditions, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain patient confidentiality

    Education, Certification, & Experience:

    • MT/MLS: Bachelor's degree in science with MLS(ASCP) certification or equivalent
    • MLT: Associate's degree in science with MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent
    • Minimum of one year travel experience
