- Preparing and consolidating monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
- Assist with healthcare revenue analysis and recognition
- Maintaining all aspects of the general ledger, with special attention to Accounts Payable, and accounts receivable reporting
- Covenant compliance preparation
- Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
- Assisting with establishing and maintaining internal controls and policies
- Assisting tax documentation preparation
- Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Assisting with annual and interim audit preparations
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
- Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or equivalent required. Master's degree is a plus
- Private equity accounting experience is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, healthcare accounting or from an accounting firm, preferred.
- CPA is a plus
- Hands-on approach assisting Controller to fix foundation of accounting department
- Proven knowledge of accounting practices related to General Ledger, A/P, A/R, financial statement preparations
- General understanding of tax preparation is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and stress management skills
- Demonstrates fiscal stewardship of company assets with integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple tasks at the same time
- Demonstrates the ability to perform responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and critical decision making
- Team player with positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed to deliver results

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the overall operations of the accounting department and work side-by-side with a hands-on Controller.
