    Ceco Door (an ASSA ABLOY company) is growing and to support that growth, we are looking to add an experienced Cost Accountant to our Team. This will be an on-site role based out of our manufacturing facility located in Milan, Tennessee.

    We are a global leader in opening access solutions. Our Group focuses on the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial market. Catering to such industries as hospitality, healthcare, sporting arenas, and educational markets.

    What would you do as our Cost Accountant?

    This position will be responsible for analyzing plant manufacturing costs, processing journal entries, performing month-end close functions, and preparing various reports as needed to support the operations of Ceco Door, ASSA ABLOY Service Centers, and Security Metal Products. You will work with other departments to ensure accuracy of costs and inventory.

    You would also:

  • Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements in the manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Track and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and communicate daily operational performance.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure proper capitalization of fixed assets, track construction in progress from project approval through asset capitalization, and perform periodic fixed asset audits.
  • Check validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing.
  • Support month-end closing with accurate and timely cost accounting input and reconcile all assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Perform periodic cost rolls/updates and establish new part costs.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
  • Assist with cycle counting and analysis to improve inventory accuracy.
