The Advanced Clinical Educator is responsible for developing staff throughout Baptist Health by providing expertise as an Educator, Consultant, Facilitator, Change Agent, Leader and Researcher.
The Advanced Clinical Educator supports the development of new and current staff, fosters empowerment and the development of knowledge through the use of evidence based practice, relationship based care, SMART principles and principles of adult learning.
The Advanced Clinical Educator utilizes the Benner Model to move staff through the continuum from novice to expert.This occurs by facilitating the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency, continuing education and leadership development.
In addition, the Advanced Clinical Educator will serve as a role model of professional behavior.
