    • Shift : 12 hours, Night
    36 or 48 hour guarantee available, please note on cover letter the nurse's preference Clinician is willing to float to all Norton Healthcare facilities and units within their scope of practice. Shift: 7p-7a and every other weekend Required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, 2 years experience Unit NH 4ACJ Neuro-Spine TCU # beds Pod System: 4A -10, 4C-10, 4J-10, and 4L-9 for 39 total beds. 4L is a MedSurg rated floor with ratios of 1:5. Certs BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and 1 year of experience required. Experience using the TOR-BSST (Toronto Bedside Swallowing Screening Testing) assessment tool required. (not a certification) Ratios 1:3-4, rotating. If you discharge your 4th patient, then another nurse would get a 4th if an admit came in. 1:5 worst case scenario, this does not happen often. EMR EPIC Charge Nurse Yes - No patient assignment. Do all blood cultures. Nurse Aides PCA 1:10 ratio Weekend Requirement Every other weekend Holidays May or may not have to work holidays. Will depend on the needs of the unit. Scrub Color "Galaxy Blue" (Cherokee brand if purchasing new scrubs, otherwise royal blue is acceptable) Tele Yes - RNs must be able read strips. Vents Rare trachs Bipap or CPAP at night for RT to manage. Hospitalist or Intensivist in house ER Physician at night only. IV Team Yes, 9a-9p RT 24/7 Yes Pharmacy 24/7 Yes - tube station on unit as well. Shifts 12hrs shifts Floating Tele, as well as potentially to overflow areas such as PACU and ER hold. Will take hold patients only. Floor specific orientation 1 day with a preceptor. Common diagnosis / Types of patients CVA, back surgeries, brain tumors, MedSurg/Tele overflow, CHF.
