    Description
    DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR: The Database Administrator is responsible for storing and managing data in the EZReport software to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the organization, considering both backend data structure and front-end accessibility for end-users.

    The Database Administrator will maintain the database to ensure its consistent, efficient, and precise operation 24 hours per day. The Database Administrator reports to the Program Director.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Building and configuring servers and databases of high availability and quality according to the needs of the organization as identified.
    • Loading and extracting data as specified and upon request.
    • Enabling data distribution to users, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
    • Minimizing database downtime and managing parameters to provide fast query responses.
    • Performing tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security and privacy and preserve data integrity.
    • Maintaining cybersecurity measures.
    • Monitoring the performance of hardware and software and ensuring systems and applications are regularly updated, implementing changes, and applying new patches and versions when required.
    • Ethical handling of private data, including personal, financial, and/or healthcare data.
    • Developing and/or installing high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
    • Providing proactive and reactive data management support and training to staff upon request.
    • Determining, enforcing, and documenting database policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Helping to assign data entry responsibilities to staff and ensuring data is updated.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification in any of the following databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 & MySQL 2 to 4 years of experience in IT operations, including database administration, management, and SQL Server.
    • Proven working experience as a Database Administrator.
    • Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
    • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
    • Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
    • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • High level of self-motivation, keen sense of direction, and attention to detail.
    • Team player and collaborator.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00-6:00; the schedule may shift to start earlier, end later, or involve weekend work based on business needs, workload, and other factors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, write, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to meet attendance/punctualityrequirements and facilitate on-site visits to properties (10% travel estimated).
