- Work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST
- Holiday schedule per unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Operate MRI machines efficiently for pediatric patients from neonates through age 18
- Provide age-appropriate care and make patients feel comfortable during scanning procedures
- Maintain clean and safe scanning facility environment
- Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to reduce anxiety
- Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines
- Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various patient ages
- Properly screen and prepare patients for scanning
- Identify contraindications for safe scanning
- Independently determine when scans must be stopped due to motion and sedation/anesthesia is needed
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Perform patient care tasks as needed
- Must have 2 years of MRI experience and 6 months of pediatric experience
- Must have Siemens scanner experience and Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- NYS Rad Tech License required (willing to consider candidates who obtain prior to start)
- Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and be familiar with medical terminology
