    General Purpose and Scope of Position:

    The Agriculture Hub Manager manages the interaction of support groups within the branch, including the warehouse, production plants (fertilizer, manufacturing), dispatch, and purchasing. The Agriculture Hub Manager's responsibility is to ensure each group operates efficiently to achieve its goals and interacts effectively with the other operation groups within the facility. Reports include plant, warehouse, and purchasing and dispatch managers.

    Key Skills and Abilities Include:

    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
    • Minimum of five years experience in the agriculture business with a demonstrated track record in sales and marketing or retail branch management
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture or Business related field is preferred

    Key Personal Attributes Include:

    • Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Good interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with branch personnel, peers, and customers
    • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to lead and influence
    • Understands and maintains confidentiality

    Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

    • Responsible for managing branch operations, including management of support personnel, operational oversight, and customer service
    • Estimate 60% of the time will be spent performing logistics and dispatching duties.
    • Coordinate all support resources for the location to ensure compliance with Wilbur Ellis safety, regulatory, credit, and other policies
    • Support programs to establish Wilbur Ellis as a leading provider of agronomic products
    • Operations management oversight of the locations
    • Work and communicate with the Location Sales Manager and sales team to determine their needs and develop plans and actions to meet needs with appropriate operational solutions for the customers
    • Communicate with the Location Sales Manager on initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plans
    • Coordinate Operations support resources, including fertilizer, value-added nutrition, branded products, seed, and PPP purchasing to maximize opportunities
    • Inventory control and responsible for coordinating inventory counts, adjustments, etc.
    • Responsible for the operational P&L, communicating and coordinating with the Location Sales Manager on any large purchases needed for operations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $89,400 - $ 125,280. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
