Be part of a group that is safety driven and values inclusion Work in a global company with an exceptional team of technical personnel Access to industry-leading technical development programs Location: Salt Lake City Utah Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs We are looking for an Underground Geotechnical Technician to support the development of underground mining at Bingham Canyon The primary responsibilities for this position are ground support quality assurance and quality control This role will be a field-based position with limited office work This is a technical role however the work may be physically demanding and much of your time spent will be underground Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and working collaboratively with all operational and functional departments you will be responsible for Tracking sampling compliance and completing strength testing for shotcrete and cemented rock fill Completing rock-bolt pull testing in underground environment Complete and oversee installation of geotechnical monitoring equipment Troubleshooting of geotechnical monitoring hardware Maintaining QAQC data in various systems and issuing monthly reports Support geotechnical engineers in various underground tasks such as geotechnical inspections and monitoring Overseeing calibration of geothermicl monitoring nd testing equipment Other duties as assigned What you ll bring High school diploma Strong commitment to safety promotion or safety culture At least 2 years in underground mining experience preferred Ability t
