- Establish continuous improvement goals and executes action plans

- Document product designs by preparing bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests.
- Assist in redesigning internal components to improve overall long term system quality, improve efficiency and reduce
- Develop engineering solutions to product related issues through problem solving and root cause analysis techniques.
- Participate on cross functional teams to launch product modifications, resolve issues, and support product
- Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time
- Develop suppliers for manufacturing equipment, develop key suppliers, create an environment of continuous
- Create preventive maintenance that effectively maintains the equipment in optimal form without the need for short
- Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
- Lean manufacturing concepts (eg, Kaizen, value stream mapping, Kanban, demand flow technology)
- Experience with engineering change processes
- Knowledge of specifications and standards used in the HVAC industry (preferred)
- Line balancing and time studies experience
- Strong leadership experience including influencing employee's to be a part of continuous improvement
- Software skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Mapics and PM applications
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and strong project management –PM skills
- Effective communication skills - both verbal and written; business acumen

Knowledge and Skills
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of manufacturing engineering theory, processes, and practice
12+ years manufacturing engineering experience
8+ years of experience with product design in assembly HVAC environment automotive, appliance industry
8 + years in a leadership role
Manufacturing equipment experience in stamping, tooling, assembly and/or controls processes
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Technology – Engineering
Six Sigma certification preferred
People Management
Yes, supervise and mentor groups
Reports to:
Director or VP of Manufacturing Engineering
