These cutting-edge technologies include phased-array systems, millimeter wave active antennas, conformal antennas for extreme shock/ thermal environments, and advanced RF systems for both government and commercial customers.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers, as well as specialized equipment such as 3D printers, shock & vibration tables, and temperature sensing equipment.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

This would require the ability to lift lab equipment, open cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager's discretion. This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises. TravelMinimal travel (<10%) is expected for this position.
QualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceMust have US Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S.

Security ClearanceMust have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Must have 5+ years of relevant mechanical design experience Experience with electronic packaging for high reliability environments for relevant DoD and Aerospace platforms Extensive experience with ASME Y14.5M-2009 and GD&TExtensive experience with mechanical fabrication techniques for complex geometries including machining, sheet metal, and compositesExperience with MIL-STD-810 and/or DO-160 specifications and test methodsExperience with mentoring more junior engineers and providing technical review Proficiency with mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks a plus)Hands-on experience in a multidiscipline hardware development environmentStrong analytical and hardware troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to peers, management, and customersA desire to find, explore, and solve new and challenging problemsComfortable in a lab environmentA resiliency to fail fast and oftenAbility to get a security clearance.
