    Sells products or services to consumers or other businesses primarily through walk-in customers or by phone. Responsible for locating new sales opportunities through tactics like cold-calling or following up on warm leads to further the sales process. Promotes products and services, and delivers solutions to customer problems to ensure growth and profitability of the company. Manages and develops new and established customer relationships. Provides excellent customer service.

    Essential Job Duties and Functions

    This positions essential job duties and functions include the following and other duties as assigned by the supervisor:

    • Identifies new customers by engaging in prospect sales call.
    • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule.
    • Data entry with accuracy including entering of customer orders, branch transfers, inventory information, pricing.
    • Manages business relationships with current clients by uncovering new or additional products/services to meet client's needs.
    • Provides product/job quotes as appropriate.
    • Negotiates with prospects and clients to find optimal price point meeting company and customer needs.
    • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
    • Works closely with operations team to ensure high levels of order fulfillment for accounts.
    • Continuously updates product knowledge through any available resources.
    • Stays informed and educated as to product inventory.
    • Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed, straightening, cleaning counter area, etc.
    • Reports back orders and/or materials discrepancies.
    • Assist in physical inventory counts as requested.
