    The Role:

    The IT Specialist will provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals. They will also be responsible for responding to, documenting, and resolving service requests in a timely manner according to EPCs best practices. The IT Specialist must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex problem situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate IT staff members.

    The IT Specialist will also perform root cause analysis, develop checklists for typical problems and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention. This position will support multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and videoconferencing equipment. This position may require independent work, sharing information and assisting others with work orders. This position reports to the Information Technology Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
    • Provide technical support to end users in person, over the phone, or via remote assistance tools.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various IT systems and applications.
    • Perform daily and weekly systems check and ensure all systems are up and running.
    • Collaborate with IT team members to implement and upgrade systems as needed.
    • Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors and team members.
    • Track IT equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases.
    • Communicate regularly and effectively with support requestors.
    • Provide training and support to staff on IT-related topics, promoting a culture of IT awareness and proficiency within the organization.

    Required skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Proven experience as an IT specialist or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and security protocols.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11 OS
    • Familiarity with Azure AD, Google Workspace and AWS cloud services
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security + or Microsoft Modern Administrator are a plus.

    Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
