    Purpose of the Position

    This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position

    Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies

    Basic computer skills

    Good interpersonal and communication skills

    Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner

    Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs

    Ability to follow oral and written instructions

    Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students

    Ability to work a flexible shift and weekend hours as needed

    Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required

    Experience:
    Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies. Experience using a vacuum cleaner.

    Salary Information Starting at $28,802, Commensurate with Education and Experience Role Code 79071 Conditions of Employment

    his is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12-month probationary period;

    This position includes Commonwealth of Virginia and CNU employee benefits;

    Selected candidate must attend 2-day New Employee Orientation Program;

    Selected candidate must have the ability to work a flexible shift and weekend hours as needed;
