    This position will also handle escalated incidents and perform root cause analysis of any problems that may arise out of IRs and/or proactive needs for business.


    ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities include:

    vulnerability remediation which would be the primary taskShould work on configuration, implementation, support of Oracle Database Production servers and technical guidance of junior team membersUnderstand business requirementsand design solutions accordinglyEnsure quality standards in release implementation especially in DML/DCL/DDL & Data Fixes of any formResolve incidents, escalate to CACIB management and Oracle Vendor as necessaryCreate SOPsPerform root cause analysis for P1/P2/P3 and P4 incidents and/or proactively based on business needsWork with theGenpact, CACIB or 3rd party teams for the implementation of changesFollow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem and change managementEnsure service performance expectations are met with service levels and qualityRaise/escalate any service related issues and risks to track lead and/or ITS leadTechnical guidance of junior team members (when applicable)Qualifications we seek in youMinimum QualificationsGraduate or post graduate in Technology with Computers or IT streamORGraduate or post graduate in any stream with course in Computers or IT streamPreferred Qualifications/ SkillsKnowledgeable about the Oracle; Sybase and SQL Database architectureHands-on experience with Oracle 12c installation, configuration and disaster recovery proceduresWorked on multiple Oracle Databases releasesPerform DB refreshesPerform DB installs and refreshesKnowledge of shell scriptsUNIX Solaris/Linux all current releasesDatabase user creationHands on with RMAN backup recoveryAdding of datafiles and space managementWell versed with Index and Reorganization of database objectsChange management and apply datafixesWell versed with audit conceptsAnalysis and implementation of CPU patching on production system independentlyUnderstanding of database concept as a SME and ability to provide solutionsGood Understanding of OPatch conceptsWell versed with performance & tuning of databasesExposure of database recovery scenariosExperience of database upgradesGood understanding of RMAN, ADDM and ASH reportsSound experience of Database export/import functionsExperience of database character set conversionKnowledge of Database monitoring toolsMust have very good trouble shooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work under minimal supervisionqCapital Markets Domain knowledge is preferredKnowledge of ITIL, integration across IPC (Incident, Problem & Change Management)Sound knowledge of Oracle v12 Database ( PDB & CDB)Knowledge of Oracle Apps R12.2will be a plusGenpact is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion or belief, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, military/veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
