You love what you do, now love where you do it.Provides advanced medical office clerical support and assist medical center staff in providing medical or technical procedures that include, but not limited to: taking vital signs, graphing height, weight, blood-pressure, giving injections and assisting with patient flow. Performs duties requiring high-level problem solving and critical thinking. Provides training and mentoring to other staff members.
Qualifications:Education
• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirement for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
Experience
• 1 year of healthcare clerical/administrative support experience required
• 2 years of healthcare clerical/administrative support experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• CMA - Certified Medical Assistant preferred
