    Job Overview

    The Wellness Associate role at our company involves providing personalized services and care to each resident according to their unique service plan.

    Key Responsibilities of a Wellness Associate:

    Essential Functions:

    • Assisting residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
    • Monitoring residents' physical and mental well-being and promptly reporting any changes.
    • Managing medical supplies and assisting with orders when needed.
    • Coordinating shift coverage for unexpected absences.
    • Supporting the Wellness Director by organizing tasks.
    • Participating in new associate orientation.
    • Responding to emergencies and providing initial first aid.
    • Helping residents maintain a clean living environment.
    • Attending to resident needs promptly.
    • Assisting with laundry, meal service, and other assigned tasks.
    • Contributing to activity programs.
    • Keeping accurate records as per policy.
    • Engaging in a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education annually.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhering to all emergency and safety protocols.
    • Effective communication with supervisors and colleagues.
    • Notifying supervisors of any resident health changes immediately.

    Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

    • Active State Nurse's Aide registration.
    • Demonstrated experience and interest in working with older adults.
    • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and lift up to 60 pounds.
    • Capable of maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, and peers.
    • In good physical and emotional health with no communicable diseases.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physical agility for bending, reaching, and lifting.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle weight up to 60 pounds.
    • Potential use of equipment like a Hoyer Lift.

    Miscellaneous:

    • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
    • Occasional long hours (up to 16 hours per day).
    • Possible exposure to infectious conditions and diseases.
    • Dealing with potentially challenging resident behaviors.
    • Background and drug testing may be mandatory.
    • Consent for random drug testing during employment.
    • Authorization for image use in social media or community promotions.
    • Possible video monitoring in resident living spaces.
