    Description
    ·


    Under the direction of the Director Water Strategy & Technology and/or Team Leads, drive assessment as well as execution of technologies to enhance reuse, processing, or utilization of oil field waters with cost reduction and environmental stewardship as guiding parameters.

    Ensure alignment with Business Unit and corporate needs in the scoping, design, and implementation of pilot programs to evaluate proposed process enhancements.

    Support advancement of projects to commercialization as warranted.

    Project planning, management and safe execution thereof with predictable cost, schedule and performance.
    Design and develop cost estimates for field development projects.
    ·


    Undertake the responsibilities and learnings necessary to apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling in support of Oil-in-water separation, and other water and gas related projects.

    ·


    Support and drive microbial programs as related to MEOR and abatement of undesirable microbes inflicting corrosion as well as generating toxic off gas such as hydrogen sulfide.

    ·

    Manage enhancements of the Corporate Water Dashboard and expansions to support Oxy's various Groups and respective needs. Advance the corporate water dashboard and support of external corporate water reporting metrics.
    ·

    Analysis and reporting of Permian Basin water disposal and other metrics to facilitate corporate planning via proprietary licensed software. Identify trends, industry shortfalls and potential constraints that Oxy may face. Understand the implications of seismicity and Oxy's forward looking produced water disposal and frac'ing needs by area.
    ·

    Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the necessary relationships in support of each Business Unit and respective area.

    Recognize this is a function in support of the Business Units whereby the Business Units are in fact customers of our services.

    Coordinate closely with Water Team Leads, the field chemical specialists, and corrosion analysts.

    Contribute toward establishing the Water Team as a center of excellence for "all things water" and the "go to" for all questions related to water.

    ·

    Ensure execution of responsibilities as a Team Player recognizing when to Lead or Follow.
    Qualifications
    ·

    Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical

    with consideration of Chemistry or other Sciences degree possible.
    ·

    Must maintain minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
    ·

    Must have a graduation date of December 2023 – May 2024
    ·

    Detail oriented and strong problem solving and organizational skills (business, technical and financial).
    ·

    Experience in project management with ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    ·

    Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
    ·

    Working knowledge of typical onshore oil & gas construction practices, procurement systems, and contracting.
    ·

    Ability to represent the company's interests with vendors and contract technical staff.
    ·

    Ability to work across multiple disciplines, organization levels and functions.
    ·


    Position is based in Houston and must have the ability to travel to Oxy domestic and international sites and attend various meeting locations.
