    Description


    The ideal candidate is a strategic business leader with Healthcare integration experience, a strong technical acumen and proven expertise in building effective technology solutions in a highly matrixed environment. The role requires a track record of balancing strategic thinking, driving transformational change, and executional rigor delivering on current business priorities. This is a highly cross functional role requiring close collaboration and a jointly accountable operating model between different product business units, solutions marketing, and the lifecycle services leader.

    Candidate will partner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence. This position will require knowledge of healthcare administration and specifically healthcare procedures and regulations and knowledge of applicable compliance guidance, laws, and regulations. He/She/They must be able to exercise initiative, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Must also be able to organize and analyze data and can communicate results clearly. He/She/They will also coordinate, develop, and maintain policies and procedures as needed.

    Person Reports To - SVP and GM Healthcare

    Supervises - Directors and Managers of Data Analytics & Integration Technology

    Essential Functions -
    • Organizes respective workloads and integrations to effectively and efficiently accommodate all deadlines and milestones relevant to grant awards.
    • Provide support on all grants and budgets to ensure compliance.
    • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide variety of agreements, contracts, and vendor transactions to ensure the best interests of NJII
    • Monitor legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities relating to the above substantive legal areas, and provide proactive, strategic advice to relevant stakeholders
    • Oversees all ongoing activities related to the development of standards, policies and procedures covering access to, patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws
    • Collaborates with key division/department leaders to ensure that the organization maintains all HIPAA requirements regarding patient information, communications, as well as instructional or clarifying materials and resources that provide or reflect current HIPAA-compliant privacy and security procedures and practices
    • Collaborate with channel partner(s) to reveal not-yet-understood opportunities and challenges.
    • Develop deep technical relationships across assigned partners working towards trusted advisor status.
    • Deeply understand the business and technical requirements of assigned partners and their focus verticals.
    • Provide thought leadership for industry-specific mature & emerging patterns; build and execute industry and vertical solutions incubation framework.
    • Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills with the ability to create and drive vision across organizations.
    • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure overall success of the customer implementation
    • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
    • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project. Experience leading multifaceted projects on time and within budget.
    • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
    • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
    • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals

    Prerequisite Qualifications -
    1. Education/Degree Required Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business management, or closely related field preferred
    2. Years of Experience Required A minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in a healthcare organization, to include demonstrated compliance experience.
    3. Knowledge/Skills Required
      • Professional experience in a Hospital or Government entity with grant experience
      • Superior critical thinking skills, with a bias for action and confidence to make informed decisions that have both legal and business implications
      • Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
      • Demonstrated technology background, specifically in Information Security
      • Must be a strategic thinker and insightful decision maker with ability to analyze and solve problems.
      • Records maintenance skills.
      • High level of analytical and organizational skills.
      • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
      • Ability to make evaluative judgments.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
      • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.
      • Ability to develop and maintain systems and procedures.
      • Ability to solve complex practical problems
      • Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives and assign priorities
      • Deal with a wide variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
      • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
      • for easy retrieval of information and to ensure competent closure of issues
      • Manage complex analysis and use deductive reasoning
      • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
      • Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must.
    Preferred Qualifications -
    • Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
    • Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
    • Active or retired certifications: Institute of Internal Auditors, Certified Internal Auditor, International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 - CISSP, ISSMP, ISSAP, ISSEP, SCSA, SCNA, CNA, CCNA, CCA, CIPP, MCSE, CISA. Compliance certification preferred (CPCO, CHC)
    • Master's Degree
    • At least 5 years of full-time professional experience in healthcare compliance.
    • Experience working in an Academic Health Center environment.
    • Experience working with federal and state grants and government
    • Positive interpersonal, communication & persuasion skills over the phone, computer & in person
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines with a strong organization skill set
