The Role:

The company made its mark on the gift industry by creating custom wedding invitation kits that could be printed at home.

The RoleThe Director of Finance will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, and operations management.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and operations, who can mentor our bookkeeping staff and provide insightful analysis to drive profitability across various sales channels.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company's financial health and growth.
Manage and mentor a accounting team members, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Conduct financial analysis to assess channel, customer, and product profitability, providing recommendations for improvement.
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with financial partners, including banks, auditors, and investors.
Implement and optimize financial systems and processes, with a strong focus on NetSuite and Shopify.
QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

At least seven to ten years of professional experience in finance, with a minimum of six years in financial and operations management.

Proven experience with NetSuite is required; Shopify experience is preferred.
Solid accounting background, preferably in a consumer packaged goods environment.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform profitability analysis across various sales channels.
Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of managing and developing staff.
High integrity and trustworthiness, with a commitment to ethical financial practices.
