    Description

    Support the Firm's new business initiatives and ensure the Operations infrastructure is in place in time to take-on new business.

    Specific responsibilities:

    • Initiate and ensure completion of technical and operational set-up for new funds and managed accounts.
    • Work with the Business and Client to ensure any specific requirements are met.
    • Ensure Fund Data Integrity of security and Fund Reference Data within internal systems.
    • Engage with external parties to agree workflows, documentation required, account requirements, trade and statement communication.
    • Complete launch questionnaires distribute launch updates as required.
    • Work with other internal departments to answer queries as they arise.
    • Assist in launching new products and services.
    • Reviews and resolves pre-settlement and post-settlement discrepancies utilizing multiple systems, email and any other means of communication with client and/or broker to ensure timely settlement.
    • Knowledge of corporate action processing and impact analysis of such events.
    • Ensure due process is conducted on requests and is compliant with internal and external controls and audit.
    Technical Competencies:
    • Proven experience in Operations within an investment management firm / investment bank / hedge fund
    • Previous client facing, middle office or operations financial services experience
    • Experience on boarding new clients and working with providers
    • Previous corporate action experience
    • Previous trade matching and trade settlement experience
    • A strong understanding of financial markets and best practices
    • Self-motivated and responsive to a constantly changing environment
    • Strong communication skills both client facing and internally
    • Ability to highlight potential problems or delays to management
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
