D.L. George and Sons Manufacturing, a family owned and operated company, is seeking Welders & Fabricators for 2nd Shift.

Welders & Fabricators Qualifications and Skills:1 year experience with MIG welding carbon steel requiredPerform tasks involving physical labor for operation and set up of the various welding equipmentOperate a variety of other equipment including, but not limited to; hand, power tools or other machineryReads and works to drawing tolerances and may be responsible for inspection of their own workKeeps their work area safe and free of hazards.

Must be certified to, or capable of certification under American Welding Society (AWS) certifications (by applicable weld type) as defined in AWS document AWS B as revised), or under American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code Section IX (as revised) as applicable.

Certification Records must be be maintained by the certified welder as applicable.

Welders & Fabricators Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow directions and instructions of supervisory personnelAbility to complete required documentation when neededStart up, set up and prepare for welding operations, loading and unloading materialsPerform operator level maintenance as needed, requisition replacement parts as neededClean, dress and deburr weldments as neededInspect pieces for proper specifications and completenessSort finished jobs according to destination and routing (internal)

Maintain and communicate finished jobs to supervisorMonitor welding related supplies and notify supervisors as they are neededKeep work area clean, organized and clearOperate hand trucks, pallet jacks, overhead cranes or other material handling equipment when neededPerform other related duties incidental to the work described hereinWelders & Fabricators Physical Requirements:

George & Sons medical, drug and alcohol qualificationsAbility to operate in a machine/fabrication shop environment up to 10 hours per day, 40-50 hours per weekMajority of work requires standing or walking, bending, stooping and minimal climbingHandle material weighing up to 50 pounds with minimal assistanceD.L.
