    Job Description

    Nuveen's Leveraged Finance team seeks an analyst to evaluate the capital structure of convertible bond issuers, primarily in technology and healthcare sectors.

    The team applies a collaborative approach to rigorous fundamental underwriting across the capital structure and risk spectrum. The team invests where relative value dislocations and event driven catalysts exist. Investment strategies include hedge funds, separately managed accounts, comingled strategies and sub-advisory mandates for both retail and institutional clients, including TIAA-CREF.

    This analyst will focus on a multi-strategy credit hedge fund with convertible arbitrage, long/short credit, and CLO investments.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assume primary coverage for convertible bond investments, new issues and secondary opportunities.
    • Make investment recommendations and provide real-time views on companies, including credit quality and equity valuation.
    • Actively monitor investments and manage risk exposures using predictive approaches.
    • Engage with management teams to discuss business conditions and potential catalysts.
    • Monitor economic, industry, and company data, preparing reports and developing models to support investment decisions.
    • Contribute to all formal reports and research processes that enable efficient oversight of the coverage universe.


    Requirements
    • University degree preferred.

    • At least 3 years of experience required, 5+ years preferred.

    • Sedentary work environment.
