Position Overview: One of my clients are looking for an experienced Concrete Estimator with a solid background in bidding concrete foundation and flatwork projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Bluebeam Take-Off software and preferably HCSS Heavy Bid. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the bidding process, accurately estimating project costs and timelines while understanding the intricacies of structural and site concrete projects.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Bluebeam Take-Off software and HCSS Heavy Bid to perform accurate material take-offs and cost estimations for concrete projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements thoroughly.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, labor estimates, material costs, and project schedules.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and construction methods related to concrete work.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies while maintaining project quality standards.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations with clients as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5-10 years of experience in concrete estimating, with a focus on foundation and flatwork projects.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Take-Off software and familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid (preferred).
• Strong understanding of concrete construction processes, materials, and techniques.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven track record of successfully bidding and winning concrete projects of various sizes and complexities.
