- Dental and medical evaluations
- Diagnosis and treatment planning - includes all necessary procedures required to make proper diagnosis
- Restorative procedures (per program limitations)
- Oral Surgery procedures
- Preventive services, dental and medical
- Prosthetic services, when indicated (per program limitations)
- All other dental services permitted by Medicaid
- Other medical and dental referrals as authorized by dental program policy
- Maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, including written schedules for maintenance
- Maintaining and periodically checking emergency equipment and supplies
- Operating a professional clinic at all times
- Documenting all patient services and activities in a legible manner or in HMS
- Performs all other activities necessary for the smooth and professional operation of a dental clinic
- Knowledge of the documentation, safety and practice standards governing the practice of dentistry in DOH.
- Skill in performing dental procedures up to the standard of care.
- Ability to relate to diverse clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Skill in computer software application.
- Dentist Licensure in accordance with Chapter 466, Florida Statutes including DEA Certification.
- Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an
emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters,
or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. - One year of experience

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing dental treatment services to HIV infected clients and HIV affected family members in accordance with all Federal and State laws and within the guidelines established by the State Health Office, Dental Administrative offices, and the United States Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The incumbent is also responsible for chair side supervision of the dental hygienist and assistants. This position will also provide pediatric services. Works under the direction of the Dental Director.
