    **Company Description:** Fort Cady California Corporation (FCCC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of 5E Advanced Materials (5E). Fort Cadys corporate office and team is located in Hesperia, CA and the project site is located in Newberry Springs, CA. Fort Cady Borate Mine hosts a multi-generational Borate resource where boric acid will be produced for the large North American specialty chemicals market including high-end technologies such as electric vehicles, defense, and magnets. Fort Cady is an exceptionally rare and large colemanite deposit and is the largest known contained borate occurrence in the world not owned by the two major borate producers Rio Tinto and Eti Maden.

    **Purpose:** To support the FCCC and 5E teams with the development and execution of work. To manage and maintain the safety program developed for 5E and to train and orient employees and vendors when working with 5E.

    **Position Summary:** Working with the site and office teams to ensure compliance with all 5E policies as well as local, state and federal laws. The work will include but is not limited to:

    Policy development and review

    Safety training development

    Safety training

    Work and worksite audits

    Reporting

    Incident management and reviews

    Construction workplan reviews

    RFP and RFQ reviews

    Assist with contractor analysis and on-boarding

    **Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Position:** The focus will be the safe execution of work. This begins during the bidding process and through execution. For employees of 5E this will be training and working towards the goal of zero incidents on site. 5E is focused on building a world class safety program and culture. The safety manager will be key in the execution of this objective.

    **Interpersonal Competencies:**

    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within team structures

    Strong problem-solving skills

    Strong technical writing

    Strong and effective oral and written communication skills

    Willingness to engage with employees and contractors

    Comfortable with public speaking

    **Experience:**

    10+ years of HSE experience

    Experience with project and operations safety plans

    OSHA 30 or better

    Working knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations
