    Ø


    Establish, develop, and implement the Rotating Equipment Maintenance (REM) program for two local sites in accordance with company guidelines, codes, and governmental regulations.

    Ø


    Ensure REM program guidelines are current, consistent, and comply with the latest Maintenance Guidelines maintained by Corporate HES Risk Engineering, manufacturers, and industry practice.

    Ø

    Work with maintenance, production, engineering, and other organizations to improve rotating equipment care and work practices. Update maintenance and equipment procedures along with stores/inventory spare parts to better maintain equipment.
    Ø

    Develop, update, track, and communicate action plans pertaining to REM tasks.
    Ø

    Provide on-going reporting of REM program status to plant management.
    Ø

    Arrange for contract services support for REM program related activities as required.

    Communicate employee concerns relating to REM activities to appropriate supervision and management.
    Ø


    Review facility rotating equipment activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, and operation conform to all specifications, codes, standards, and procedures.

    Ø

    Perform formal and informal audits of the REM program elements to ensure compliance to all applicable codes and standards.
    Ø

    Support and coordinate Corporate HES Risk Engineering and Insurance audits as required.
    Ø

    Maintain current knowledge of company / government rules and regulations.
    Ø

    Evaluate capital project scopes and vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.
    Ø

    Conduct failure mode analyses to identify units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in design.
    Ø

    Assist in the training / coaching of hourly personnel in repairs and preventative maintenance.
    Ø


    Maintain knowledge of current practices within the industry related to rotating equipment design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation to assist in ensuring success of the REM program.

    Ø

    Maintain or gain certification in vibration acquisition and analysis to assist in rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair.
    Ø

    Develop, implement, monitor, and communicate mean-time-between-failures program for all critical rotating equipment for the sites.

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
    v

    B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with 5+ years of experience in plant maintenance or plant engineering.
    v

    In-depth knowledge of industry standards and other applicable codes relating to mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
    v

    Actual experience in design/maintenance of miscellaneous rotating equipment and associated failure analysis is preferred.
    v

    Vibration acquisition and analysis experience preferred.
    v

    High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and a good working knowledge of SAP.
    v

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
