Our MEP Consulting firm is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer in the Metro Atlanta GA area.
We are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer for our Duluth GA office.
Electrical Designer/Engineer
My client is searching for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on our staff completing designs, preparing plans, and specifications for new and renovated buildings.
Our projects include office, retail, restaurant, multi-family, medical/dental office, hotel, education and churches.Design Duties include:
Prepare accurate schematic design, design development and construction documents.
Provide support services during the bidding process.
Perform construction phase services including representing the firm on-site, answer RFI's, review shop drawings, preparing as-built documents, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific responsibilities of the Electrical Designer include, but are not limited to, the following:1)
Design of electrical distribution, lighting, and schematic fire alarm systems for buildings and facilities.
2)
Development of electrical drawings with emphasis on code compliance and technical correctness.
3)
Draft working drawings, circuiting and panel schedules and riser diagrams, as required for permitting and construction.
4)
Low voltage schematic design for telephone/data, nurse call, A/V and security.
5)
Stand-by and emergency generator system design.
Requirements
1.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrical Design professional in building designs.
2.
Experience in some or all of our project types.
3.
Complete full design layouts from beginning to end.
Revit experience would be a plus.
4.
Education:
Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering
