    Description

    House-Hasson Hardware, a trusted name in the industry for over a century, is actively seeking a Human Resources Generalist in our Knoxville, TN headquarters. As a leading wholesale supplier of hardware and building materials, we cater to home centers, building supplies, and hardware stores.

    Please note: the ideal candidate must reside in Knoxville or surrounding counties. This is not a remote position.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for running daily HR functions such as recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, employee engagement, and company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to: recruiting, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices as it pertains to company policies and procedures.
    • Creates employee engagement programs, getting necessary leadership and budget approval prior to implementation.
    • Maintains physical and digital personnel, medical and restricted files.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Assists with payroll and benefits administration.
    • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and legal responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • At least three years of HR experience preferred.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
