Doggie Dude Ranch is a busy daycare and luxury boarding facility looking for an experienced groomer to join our team Option for full time will be available as we start building grooming clients in the coming months. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pet grooming and work to care for and groom our animals in a way that makes them feel their best. All grooming duties, such as bathing, drying, styling, brushing, de-matting, teeth brushing, cleaning ears, and nail clipping and grinding, among others, must be self-performed. A strong familiarity with dog breeds and grooming requirements, with maintained cleanliness and organization by performing routine cleaning. Talking to customers with a friendly and positive attitude is also a must. Taking regular notes about each grooming client and the ability to be able to manage animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments safely. With the ability to interact with staff members effectively and as a team. Must be dependable, diligent, self-driven, and on time See the list of responsibilities and experience below.

Job Duties:

Must be responsible and punctual.

We work by appointment, so missing days frequently or running late to work regularly negatively impacts customers and others.

Bathing, brushing, and drying all dogs in a safe and timely manner

Checking anal glands on all dogs, and express if necessary

Trimming nails, cleaning ears, and removing any eye crust

Following all special instructions

Ensuring that all relevant information is reported to Groomer and the parents in a timely manner

Ensuring all special instructions are accurate in our systems

Ensuring the grooming rooms are clean, well supplied and all equipment is in working order

Answer phones and book appointments

Check customers in and out.

Discuss grooming services and packages with customers.

Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently is critical in this job.

Customer service and/or cash handling is a plus.
