Position Summary
The Environmental Engineer will support the corporate and local operating teams' environmental efforts, focusing on environmental initiatives, emissions reduction and inventory, and reporting.
This position will report to the Environmental Manager and will be based on-site in the Irving, TX office, with some travel required to our field offices.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage all environmental and emissions programs
Lead Validere Carbon Hub emissions tracking program to ensure manual and automated data uploads, reviews data and dashboard for quality assurance
Ensure field compliance within OGI Leak Survey and Repair Programs including OOOOa/b/c, fixed wing flyovers, AVOs, etc.
Lead in all emissions and regulatory compliance reporting including OOOOa completion notifications and OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb, GHG and emissions inventories
Oversee and guide remediation projects to ensure regulatory closure, project costs, and communication with state agencies
Communicate with field on engine moves, data, and testing company on testing, reports. Familiarity with JJJJ/ZZZZ engine rules
Develop and assist with the implementation of emissions reduction projects
Lead environmental initiatives and participate in deploying programs on critical environmental matters that align with Client ESG efforts including OGMP
Facilitate and lead environmental compliance database data quality improvements and business process flow standardization
Conduct field inspections focusing on equipment inventory and management of change
Assist with production sample analysis program, including scheduling sampling, completing H-9s, and tracking when new analysis is needed
Deliver E&P Water Usage Reporting to proper Texas conservation district
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental, Applied Sciences, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
7+ years of experience in Oil and Gas within emissions inventorying and reporting, environmental permitting, consulting, compliance, and remediation practices within the oil and gas industry
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record to drive Company and personal vehicles to perform required tasks
Must possess a working understanding of the following environmental principles and concepts:
Emissions inventorying and reporting
Air regulations including permitting, OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb, flares, and nonattainment
Engine rules (JJJJ/ZZZZ)
Spill response, clean-up, and reporting
SPCC Compliance
Professional regulatory or environmental, health and safety (EHS) experience in the oil and gas industry
Oil and gas industry air, water, and waste permitting and compliance experience, preferred in the states of Utah and Texas
EHS regulatory requirements and ability to research them
Contaminant characteristics and transport mechanisms
Environmental regulations applicable to the pipeline industry, including releases, air, water, waste, etc.
