Project Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our client's finance team. The Project Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial aspects of their engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, project management, and financial analysis. along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities of the Project Accountant:

• Billing towards accounts and resolve inconsistencies
• Manages accounts receivable and collections on accounts
• Verify and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
• Code invoices and set up new vendor accounts
• Reconcile bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from the bank
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts
• Manage the purchasing and invoicing process

Qualifications of the Project Accountant:

• Experience in construction or Engineering required
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Experience with construction billing preferred
