The key components of this position consist of coordination with the various discipline areas, including scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through project closeout, along with being accountable for handling specific design aspects on projects appropriate to the discipline field.

Responsibilities:
Perform floodplain and HEC-RAS modeling
Assist and investigate watersheds/drainage areas, and perform hydrologic and hydraulic computations required to design and analyze complex drainage systems and stormwater management basins
Contribute to the preparation/modification of reports, construction plans, and designs for projects
Responsible for the delivery of project discipline scope elements, and assist in the preparation of project quantity/cost estimates


Qualifications:
BS in Engineering (or related field)
3+ years of experience investigating watersheds/drainage areas and performing hydrologic and hydraulic computations required to design and analyze drainage systems and stormwater management basins
Experience in culvert sizing
Working knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS
Familiarity in the design of NY Stormwater BMPs is preferred
Familiarity with LOMA, LOMR and CLOMR permitting preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
