    Position Summary: The Retail Loan Accounting Specialist performs a variety of accounting responsibilities, primarily focused on general ledger account reconciliations, for Consumer Loans, Commercial Loans, Dealer Loans, Hospital Loans, Mortgage Loans, and Mortgage Servicing. They are also responsible for submitting all invoices to Concur in a timely manner and will perform any follow-up that is needed with the Vendor.

    Essential Functions:

    • Complete daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations for multiple loan divisions. Complete monthly Reconciliation Control Program (RCP) with ongoing monitoring and follow-up of all items needing resolution.
    • Submit invoices for multiple loan processing charges.
    • Process and send weekly remittance of CSO credit life/disability insurance policies and cancellations to First National Life Insurance Company.
    • Prepare monthly dealer reserve statements and maintain the dealer reserve Access database.
    • Daily review of NEO and Loan Documents for accuracy.
    • Daily monitor of NEO base and part loans for mismatched percents.
    • Quarterly track and report Title Company payments for accurate 1099 reporting.
    • Weekly and monthly confirm accuracy of closed loans for the month.
    • Quarterly reports for various departments.
    • Remit monthly energy loan payments to the Nebraska Energy Office.
    • Reporting of 1099 card file corrections needed.
    • Perform monthly audit of loan disbursement checks and maintain check stock.
    • Complete various loan data reporting for management.
    • Provide back-up on various reconciliations and department duties.
    • Act as a resource for accounting related functions/questions.
    • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training: follow internal processes and controls as required.
    • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
    • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
    • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
    Qualifications:
    • General accounting experience required.
    • Loan Operations experience preferred.
    • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration strongly preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Microsoft Excel, and comfortable working with other financial software.
    Working Environment:
    Sedentary work, lifting and/or carrying up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
    Indoor work. Not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
    This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
