    Description


    A Hospice Registered Nurse is responsible for providing compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients who are nearing the end of their life.

    They work in a hospice care setting and are responsible for providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families.


    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and assess the patient's physical and emotional needs and develop a comprehensive plan of care.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
    • Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families.
    • Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and endoflife care.
    • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources.
    • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
    • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on the patient's care plan.

    Requirements


    Requirements:

    • Must have a valid nursing license in the state of employment.
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
    • Compassionate and caring attitude.
    • Ability to provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families.
    • Knowledge of endoflife care and pain management.
