About the Position W-S Mechanical Group, a subsidiary of W-S Companies, is seeking a Journeyman Combo Welder who will perform various general manual labor tasks.

Health and Safety is our #1 priority 24/7/365 Competitive wages - the salary range for this position is $33 to $36 per hour based on experience 401(k) after the eligibility period with company matching component Opportunities for growth and development in your career Positive and safe work environments Key Responsibilities This is a 100% travel jobPrepare materials to be welded and weld components Weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, plates, pipes and tube or structural shapes, as specified by layout, blueprints, diagram, work order, welding procedures, or oral instructions, using electric arc-welding equipmentPerform maintenance on welding torches and equipmentPerform simple piping installations and repairsSecure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand tools and power toolsWeld in any direction - flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positionsAssist other mechanics or craft workers as neededWhat does it take to work for W-S Companies? Two plus years of welding experience; combo pipe welding in an industrial setting is preferredMust be able to work overtime and weekends, if required Must be 18 years of age Must have acceptable ID, pass a drug screen High school diploma or GED Possession of a TWIC card is a plus but not necessary Possession of an NCCER certificate is a plus but not necessary Understand verbal and written instructions, basic math, and safety skills Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 Ibs.
