    Director of Revenue Reimbursements

    This position is responsible for the development, direction, and maintenance of the reimbursement department for services including primary care, dental and behavioral health services in the Compass Health regions.

    This position also provides ongoing support and resources for reimbursement-generating departments in regard to client accounting and fiscal issues.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Oversees reimbursement department and ensures timely posting of payments and reimbursements from third party payers
    • Supervises, trains, orients and evaluates performance over assigned personnel
    • Reviews current payment posting processes to identify and resolve posting problems in a timely manner
    • Responsible for identifying potential "quality improvements" and facilitating teams to analyze issues and implement improvements
    • Monitors and maintains all 3rd party portals
    • Provides reimbursement counsel to Compass Health managers that may, through their department operations, influence or affect reimbursements
    • Works with the Deputy Director of Revenue to proactively evaluate strategies and processes to optimize reimbursement posting from governmental and third party payers
    • Participates in various projects as assigned
    • Exemplifies excellent customer service relations with clients, visitors, clinicians and co-workers
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Oversee day to day operations and tasks of supervisees
    • Complete performance development/AIM process
    • Timecard Management – Manages time sheets
    • Ensures progress and development is made toward departmental strategic plan goals
    Job Requirements


    • High School/GED required
    • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in business, health or public administration, management or related field
    • Minimum of three (3) years management experience required; however, extensive reimbursement knowledge and experience may be used to supplement supervisory experience requirement
    • Extensive knowledge of Word and spreadsheet (i.e. Excel) or word processing computer programs preferred
    • Strong understanding of billing and credit and collection procedures in FQHC settings preferred
