    Summary

    The Assistant Manager, Freight Forwarding Accounting position is primarily responsible for validating, analyzing, and confirming revenue and cost, and perform month-end closing for Freight Forwarding (FF) division. In addition, this position will prepare reports and perform analyses, and implement Accounting Systems and procedures for efficiency. This position will also perform the development, research, and handling of logistics and supply chains that are a part of the company's long-term business plan. This position will collect and conduct financial analysis on business plans, and create accurate and concise reports for top management on a periodic basis.

    Responsibilities
    • Validate, analyze, and confirm revenue and cost
      • Confirm and post revenue and cost transaction in SAP
      • Perform data reconciliation between SAP and operational system on all FF AR/AP activities
      • Analyze detailed service completion data and verify if revenue and cost are recognized correctly in compliance with US GAA and IFRS
      • Advise division branch offices on the correct revenue and cost recognition method
      • Analyze service activities to identify any unbilled activities
      • Communicate with HQ operations and division branch offices to prevent any A/R delinquencies
      • Examine current billing processes and make recommendations to improve billing and IT system processes for efficiency
      • Perform month - end closing duties
      • Provide guidance, assign tasks and supervise directs reports
      • Conduct training for new team members on company billing procedures
    • Assist supervisor in project management of new business development
      • Supporting new business development activities by setting up GL, proper billing procedures for new business
      • Provide general strategic analysis and forecast data for new business development projects by examining the profitability of new business
      • Examine the profitability and risk of new business opportunities along with company objectives and limits by providing preliminary forecast data
      • Prepare executive management status reports
      • Provide market research, set up of various business approach options, counter measure, problem solving, due diligence, and recommendations
      • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to proceed with the project
      • Research industry and related events, publications, and announcements to identify the latest business and accounting trends
    • Reporting for GUS and GKR HQ
      • Responsible for reports and various requests from GUS/GKR HQ
      • Complete strategic planning report for management by collaborating with related parties
      • Prepare forecasts as needed internally or requested by customers
      • Required to present professional views and strategy to executive management
    Compensation Range

    $80,000- $89,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

    Qualifications

    Skills & Qualifications
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required
    • Advanced PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power point required
    • Individual must possess interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with difference departments, as well as current and future customers
    • Individual must be able to logically and systematically work through problems
    • Ability to work independently, under minimal supervision Required
    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree Required
    • Minimum six (6) Years of Experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Planning and Development
    • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to travel Domestic and International 30% of the time
    • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
    • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
