Senior Systems Administrator
in
Dahlgren, VA.
Position Description:
System Analyst shall maintain scripts, and software installations, maintain system configurations, update software, and maintain security.
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Responsibilities and Duties:
Required to install, configure and maintain Linux Operating Systems
Manage the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements. Conduct testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
Provide support, including end-user assistance
Perform functions such as managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment; maintain systems configuration and backups
Create and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Create, monitor, and maintain backups/restoration of systems and files
Research new and emergent technologies
Provide input for future systems and purchases
Demonstrate knowledge of enterprise frameworks and methodologies
Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
Perform System Trouble Shooting to support the resolution of System Issues
Perform Restoration of user and system files and directories
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Five years of working with UNIX and Linux
COMP TIA Security+ Certification, OS certification requirement for Unix/Linux
NFS Network Storage
Network Sharing
Repo Management
Satellite Server Management and Maintenance
ACAS System Scanning
