- Participate in quality improvement activities such as floor inspections, medication use evaluations, and documentation of interventions. demonstrates awareness of the industry, including regulatory requirements, evolving customer demands, and the factors that differentiate the organization in the market.
- Support contributions to pharmacy and medical literature. Provide education to pharmacists, pharmacy residents, nurses and providers. Precept pharmacy students, residents and fellows.
- Facilitate the compounding, labeling and packaging of medications and pharmaceuticals and provide supervision and verification of technicians work.
- Participate in the development, implementation and ongoing review of Epic order entry and set build.
- Attend hospital committee meetings as needed.
- Participate in continuing education programs, in-services, and workshops to maintain current knowledge and enhance professional growth.
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.
- At least 1 year previous hospital experience Preferred
- Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Doctorate of Pharmacy and completion of a pediatric clinical pharmacy residency Preferred
- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and /or complexity
- Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies
