Description
Surgical TechAt Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, dental, & ENT. Our 8 operating rooms, renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery.
We utilize the Depuy VELYS Robot to complete Robotic assisted total knee replacements.

Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures.
Ensure that the operating room is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Facilitates a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.Meets all required performance standards as identified by Department, Hospital, and Organization.
Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional.
Actively participates in unit PI activities.
Is able to precept student and/or new employee regarding their specialty team.
Recognizes and takes initiative to seek needed cases, asking for help if necessary.
Completes a yearly learning project or activity.
Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures.
They ensure that the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Facilitates a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program CST preferred or equivalent military training program.
Experience (or interest) in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferred
Surgical Services embraces a collaborative approach for treating a patient's injury or illness.
Care is delivered by our skilled clinical team and integrated ancillary support team; which provides all levels of clinical assistance maintaining a high quality care and patient safety.
The Surgical Services arena encompasses Orthopedics, General & Vascular, Gynecology, Podiatry, Urology, and Ophthalmology surgical procedures.The Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catherization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures.
Although the majority of patients are discharged the day of their procedure, some are admitted to critical or acute care units.
