    This position is a part of the Staples, Inc. hybrid work model, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Perform value-added reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support and Staples Business Advantage strategic initiatives
    • Develop reporting to track execution progress and success
    • Work closely on evaluating our marketing strategy and identifying reports and processes to understand our impact on performance and what's working
    • Analyze vast amounts of customer, marketing performance, and product data and make recommendations about improvements and opportunities for increasing sales and profit
    • Responsible for preparing analysis as well as presenting findings and recommendations
    • Develop interactive/dynamic dashboards with various BI tools
    • Produce and streamline regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting. Recommend additional "deep dive" analytics as appropriate.
    • Improve existing data governance, analysis, and reporting processes to drive efficiency
    • Management of multiple high-profile projects

    What you bring to the table:

    • Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills; strong bias towards data-based decision-making with the ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans
    • Adept at communicating findings to leadership and business stakeholders across the organization in both verbal and presentation formats
    • The ability to pick up new systems and software quickly is a must
    • Strong business acumen and analyzing customer and marketing performance
    • Strong familiarity with marketing channel tactics and analyzing marketing performance across digital and off-site
    • Demonstrated strong proficiency at an advanced level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Pro-active and self-motivated work style with proven ability to collaborate broadly with a flexible, positive attitude to get results within a cross-functional team
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with a demonstrated track record of strong execution and experience partnering with technical teams to deliver results
    • Expertise in various data mining techniques and effective visualizations
    • Hands-on experience with complex SQL queries and Tableau development

    What's needed- Basic Qualifications

    • Actively pursuing Master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Marketing Analytics, Business
    • 4+ years of analytics, predictive modeling, and reporting experience, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment

    What's needed- Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of web analytical tools (Adobe Report Builder, Google Analytics) and A/B and multivariate testing or other industry standard web analytics and testing tools
    • Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or other data mining and statistical software knowledge added advantage
    • Experience in hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and regression models
