The BNI Neurosurgery Department consists of 11 Operating Room suites with advanced technology, which supports and allows the Barrow Neurological Institute Neurosurgeons to perform the most complex spine and brain surgeries in the world.
The Surgical Tech assists physicians and nurses during surgical procedures and in preparation for surgery in order to deliver safe competent care to our patients.
Responsible for maintaining the sterile field being constantly vigilant that the scrubbed members of the team adhere to aseptic/sterile technique.
Assembles and processes sterile instrument trays and equipment. Expedites the operative procedure by anticipating the needs of the Surgeon. Provides procedural circulating support. Performs instrument sponge and equipment counts. Identifies and responds to advanced clinical issues as well as serves as a resource to other staffResponsibilities
Advanced Practice Providers and Faculty Physicians can receive up to $90,000 if full-time and hired within a year of completing their residency or fellowship.
