What will you be doing:

The OBGYN Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. A Nurse Practitioner's practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients.

• Managing the care of patients with a wide variety of women's reproductive health issues.
• Provide preconception counseling and care, family building and planning, routine gynecology and well woman care.
• Provides fertility and fertility preservation care, including diagnostic testing and treatment.
• Provides early pregnancy care, including diagnostic testing and treatment.
• Manages reproductive endocrinologic patients including PCOS and menopause.
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and individualized wellness education and counseling.
• Manages third party reproductive patients including screenings and examinations.
• Prescribe medications including controlled substances and contraceptive methods.
• Perform medical procedures within credentials and scope of practice.
• Works with Medical Director or designee on policies and procedures.
• Post-Op Clinic visits, including ultrasounds.
• Holidays and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

One (1) plus years' experience as Nurse Practitioner, preferably in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Three (3) plus years of nursing experience. (preferred)

Educational/Licensure/Certifications Requirements:

Master of Nursing Degree

Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered

Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License

National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner

Current DEA license and Furnishing Number

Current BLS certification
